Ny forskning 28 juli 2026
Serum cannabinoid profiles of emergency department patients presenting with cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome and acute cannabis intoxication.
Clin Toxicol (Phila) · 2026 Jul 27 · PubMed
English: A retrospective clinical cohort study in a single hospital emergency department compared serum cannabinoid concentrations in 50 patients: 35 presenting with cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) and 15 with acute cannabis intoxication. Blood samples were analysed by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry for THC, THC metabolites, delta-8-THC and the non-psychotropic phytocannabinoids CBD, CBG and CBN. The researchers reported no significant differences in concentrations or their ratios between the groups, which the authors say argues against differential accumulation of individual cannabinoids as a cause of acute CHS episodes.
Chiral Phosphoric Acid-Catalyzed Asymmetric Hydrogenolysis of C-O Bonds.
J Am Chem Soc · 2026 Jul 27 · PubMed
English: A laboratory chemistry study (synthetic methodology; no human or animal testing) describes a new catalytic method for cleaving carbon–oxygen single bonds with high control over the resulting mirror-image form of the molecule. The approach combines a chiral phosphoric acid with a hydrogen-donating Hantzsch ester, and the researchers reported very high selectivity. Among its applications, the authors report an efficient route to so-called axially chiral cannabidiol (axCBD) analogues, i.e. new laboratory-made CBD-like molecular variants.
